Question Cancelled dvr r15 service

I canceled my service to directv and was wondering if I could still
extract the tv shows off of it and put on my desktop to burn to dvd?
Once you cancel your service the dvr will not let you watch the shows
already recorded on the hard drive. This is the reason I was wondering
if they could be removed from the dvr hard drive. Thank you very much
in advance for taking the time to read this and maybe help me out!!

The are currently no public hacks available for the R15 for extraction purposes.

If you have zippered the DirecTivo, you can use any of the documented methods to extract. TyTools is likely the easiest.

If you have not previously disable encryption on a DTiVo, you cannot extract the files without removing the encryption. This can be done, but "zipper" doesn't do it. Go read the Extraction forum section for details. You will also want to learn how to apply the hacks to disable encryption and enable the network ports.
